No offense to Ben, but I hope Mike Capuano gets another shot. Lost in the Coakley hoopla, ignored by the Democratic party apparatchiks, and backed by the wrong horses here in North County, his record is solid and his positions make sense. I lived in Somerville first while he was mayor and then again while he was a Congressman; not easy gigs and he did pretty well. Plus he's a Dartmouth guy. Go Big Green.
Who's to say he'd have beaten Brown--that's another conversation entirely--but absent Caroline Kennedy taking a few PR classes and giving it a shot, I think the party could do a lot worse than getting fully behind him in '12.
