Stimulus Money
A couple of local organizations get a small cut of the Stimulus Funds via the National Endowment for the Arts:

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth or anything, but I just don't get it.
Were the fields/disciplines of Visual Arts and Presenting really the only place these institutions needed some help? Granted they are broad categories, but they seem a bit esoteric.
And wouldn't you think those that dole out the money wouldn't wonder why funds weren't requested for infrastructure, text books, class room maintenance, teacher's salaries?
