  More Topix Drama
One of the sub plots to this year's election is whether Clark Billings will resign, stay on as an absentee, or get pushed out of his seat before his term expires at the end of the year. It seems that at least one councilor has asked him to go:

Who needs a beach and trashy novel when you've got this type silliness to read.

Comments:
As I posted I have been asked by one Councilor to resign and I haven't heard from any others- except for the two who do not have e-mail they all know how to reach me---am leaning toward November 3--election day and then the Council could fill my seat with the non-incumbent with the greatest number of votes---I could also resign at the end of August----probably no sooner-----but even if I do that- I doubt that the Council will invoke the Council rules that provide for filling a vacancy---just too close to the election--let the people decide---but I will be out as of November 3----oh yeah--this IS the silly season---chbpod

As a resident of North Adams, I'm very disturbed that this council member is still collecting a check - OUR TAX dollars - when he doesn't even reside in the state. It's shows an incredible lack of ethics and spite.

Sincerely,
A Mom in North Adams

I'm a little fuzzy here, but didn't Bill Donovan resign his position after moving all the way to Adams?

Tammy Daniels says that Clark is history. And I believe everything Tammy tells me - just because!
