What's Worse than Maureen Dowd's Over-Use of Lazy Metaphors?
When she bases a column on the first lady's biceps on a taxi cab ride with David Brooks.

Well that was pretty embarrassing, even for a Maureen Dowd column. I don't know if the Brooks taxi ride was its worst aspect. If I may pay the "shorter" game:
That story that was already all over the news about the British Prime Minister being snubbed? Well, I actually met with the PM recently, so I'll repeat that story for 20 lines, adding my personal hook that the PM was, when I saw him, in "a blithe spirit" despite the reported snub.
So much for that anecdote... Wall Street is weak! But Michelle Obama is strong. Look at her big guns!
David Brooks, in a taxi, shared (to me!) that she should cover up. I'll quote some other stuff I read in Sandra McElwaine's column, and go on about the Scolding of the Sleeve for 8 paragraphs, but I disagree with all of it; Michelle should flaunt 'em!
