WTF????
My tiny kitchen gets inspected at least twice a year.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee says he's surprised a Texas peanut plant run by a company responsible for a national salmonella outbreak operated uninspected and unlicensed for nearly four years.¶ 12:15 PM
Sen. Tom Harkin asked during a hearing Thursday if he should be alarmed by this and asked federal health officials how many other food plants are operating off the radar without regular inspections.
Stephen Sundlof, the FDA's food safety chief, told Harkin each state handles licensing and inspections differently.

A) Harkin wants to know if he should be surprised?? He can't figure that out for himself?
b)No doubt some serious payoffs have been taking place. Perhaps you should introduce your inspector to Mr. Franklin.
Of all the restaurants I've worked in, maybe 15, I've never seen the health inspector as much as when working in Williamstown restaurants.

There is a world of difference between doing business in a democratic state vs. a republican one. The lack of inspections took place in Texas, and you know that they consider deregulation a virtue. So business in red states tend to be lightly regulated or inspected. Profits over people and all that.
