Granted there were no $3500 tight-bodied prostitutes involved, but Illinois Gov. Blagojevich's downfall is easily more breathtaking than Gov. Spitzer's.
It depends on how the law is written, but for a conspiracy charge I do not believe that the act must be consummated. His solicitation of bribes is probably enough.
I want this guy hung out to dry. Getting rid of "Pay to Play" politics is one of my pet causes.
The problem with waiting for consummation is that then we'd also have a crooked Senator as well as a crooked Governor. (Of course, we might have that tomorrow morning anyway.)
