  Lil' Trig
It's not an ethics lapse if someone else does it for you.

It is beginning to look like a trend that Sarah Palin's minor and major judgment scrapes are always carried out by someone close to her. Of course she has no knowledge of what those in her inner circle are doing. And she would certainly never ask or suggest that someone should do her bidding.... < / sarcasm >

This NPR Nugget about someone using Palin's infant son's name as a screen name on Wikipedia to scrub the candidate's entry just hours prior to the announcement is kinda funny and apparently typical.

The fact that a close aide was caught on tape telling her ex-brother-in-law's boss that "
Todd and Sarah are scratching their heads, 'Why on earth hasn't this, why is this guy still representing the department?"
is not unusual either.

And while I no next to nothing about Alaska politics, this guy seems to have his ear to ground and wonders if Sarah's hubby got an administration aide fired because of an affair with the wife of one of Todd's friends.

McCain's years of wisdom have served him very poorly on his first major decision as the presumptive nominee.

Palin doesn't have skeletons in her closet. She apparently has fresh bodies.

Comments:
I can only see this selection as pure panic on the part of McCain. Figuring he is going to lose so why not try a $1 trifecta bet and see if pays off.

The most pissed off person in the country right now has to Hillary. A sure Obama victory means her bid for 2012 is out the window. And if this goes well, it could be Biden doing the next 8 year stint after Obama's eight.

And if McCain gets in and can do the full term, then she loses the first woman president thing as well. I look for her to declare as an independent shortly.

* sorry should be CAN'T do the full term

I suspect we won't see President Biden, unless something happens (God forbid) to Obama. Biden is 65 right now and would be 73 when he started his first term. While Biden is a far healthier 65 than John McCain was (have you seen him? My grandfather who died at 74 looked healthier at 72), it's still dicey.

I could see the following scenario - in 2012, Biden decides to retire, and Obama runs alongside whomever he wishes to see take over in 2016. Maybe it's Hillary, maybe it's Bayh, maybe it's Kaine, Webb, Schweitzer...

It's not OK to criticize Palin, because McCain was a POW. For 5 1/2long years in captivity he didn't have the opportunity to completely screw up a vice-presidential pick.

Don't you have any respect for his sacrifice?
