Is This Screen Shot Worth a Free Beer?
FYP's and Taylor's Fine Dining owner was being researched by the US Senate's Sargeant at Arms:

I wonder if they know that Senator Kerry never made it to the meet and greet at Taylor's last Saturday?

I'll print this out and see if Sean thinks it is worth a pint.

Comments:
Ah, unfortunately your free beer could cost Mr. Taylor his liquor license. CMR 204-4.03(1)(a): No licensee or employee or agent of a licensee shall offer or deliver any free drinks to any person or group of persons.

In NYC we had our little neighborhood dive bar, on 9th Ave at 29th St, and if Billy or Mark liked you they'd pour you one or two to show their appreciation. What a great place. No fruit, no diet soda. Just manly beverages, a dart board, a juke box, and a couple video games. Open 20 hours a day and their busiest time was 8:30 in the morning, when the big post office facility across the street let out the night shift.

North Adams is great--but there are a lot of things I miss about New York...

I guess it all depends on how you define "free." We all pay for it eventually.

"CMR 204-4.03(1)(a): No licensee or employee or agent of a licensee shall offer or deliver any free drinks to any person or group of persons." ..... Why? ... And to what purpose does it serve? Another dumb law from the halls of puritanian Boston and our reps!
