  Pubes
In 25 years in professional kitchens, I've heard the cooks make a lot a tough talk and snotty comments when customers complain, but nothing that comes close to this:
Kropp admitted to police he put a few of his facial hairs on the steak, saying he was angry the customer sent the other steak back and thought he was "just trying to get free stuff," according to the complaint.

According to the complaint, a second kitchen worker told police Kropp put a slit in the steak and pushed something inside, then stated, "These are my pubes," referring to pubic hair.
eeewwwwww!

Comments:
Geez, those big city foodie trends are getting more ridiculous by the minute!

I know many, many people who refuse to send food back and will actually lie to the waitperson about why they didn't eat their meal for fear of an episode of this nature.

Having served a 20 year sentence in the restaurant business I have heard of my fair share of similar stories - I doubt most where true. As a person in charge of a kitchen I never had an issue with anyone sending something back. Most people are honest about it and the chance to have a customer leave feeling their needs were taken care of usually far out-weighted the cost of second meal.

Serve a great meal and the customer may tell one friend, serve a bad meal and customer will tell everyone they know about it.

Can I get that to go? :~)

Oh. My. Stomach-Turning. God.

Nasty.

I worked in a supermarket deli one summer. Some pretty disgusting stuff went on, actually. It cured me of eating deli meat for a long, long time.

Nice job fitting the story into six words, by the way.
