Good point on Romney. Because when Bill Clinton promised "the most ethical administration in history," he was all over it with details and such, forgetting only to promise that he wouldn't pardon people who made six-figure payments to Hillary's brothers.
They all will tell you what you want to hear until they get in office. Why anyone bothers to listen to a campaign speech from a any candidate is beyond me.
I've said this before, but I always laugh when they show the candidates swarming to NH before the election. They try to be men of the people and sit down to workin' man's breakfast and chat with the locals. But you'll never see them again until it's time to beg for your vote again in 4 years.
Just once I would like to see the president head back to a NH cafe and have breakfast with the locals for no reason other than to say "How am I doing". If that happened, I might even start voting again.
The joke that your vote counts is getting a little old.
